A Best Friend's Wedding

A few weekends ago, one of my childhood besties, Chris, got married at Lake Burton.  If you've never been to Lake Burton in North Georgia, you seriously must go.  It was BEAUTIFUL! It's a man-made lake nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and pretty easy to get to.  I flew into Atlanta and spent some good QT with AJ & Frank before we set off on our two hour drive to the lake.

The rehearsal dinner and wedding were a blast!  For Saturday, our crew rented a pontoon boat and cruised around the lake all day.  It was so much fun!!  It's always fun to catch up with Dyersburg friends and make new ones! Congratulations Bevin & Chris!! So happy that you're now Mr. & Mrs.!

Happy Birthday Reedy!!

Happy Happy Happy Birthday to my precious husband!  I love this day not only because my love was born BUT also because it is our engagement anniversary!  Seven years ago, today, Reed asked me to marry him.  It was (and still is) one of the happiest, best days of my life!  So...happy 33rd birthday AND happy 7th engagement anniversary! :)  I love you!

SUPER REGIONAL CHAMPS!!!

And, OMAHA here we come! Oh my goodness.  So much excitement.  Can't even handle it.  Monday night, the Rebs pulled off a beautiful win over LA-Lafayette to advance to the College World Series for the first time in 42 years.  IT.  WAS.  GLORIOUS.

REGIONAL CHAMPS!!!

I'm pretty sure last weekend in Oxford was one of the best weekends in Oxford that I've had in a long time.  I mean, it just doesn't get any better than a weekend at Swayze.  I love football and I love the Grove but I'm a baseball girl, always have been and always will be.  Ole Miss was hosting a NCAA Regional and of course, we had to go and cheer on our Rebs.  It is, afterall, the Road to Omaha.  GO REBS!!!

Mother's Day

A little late on this one but Happy Mother's Day!  We were so fortunate that Mother's Day corresponded with Sis's graduation weekend so we could all be together to celebrate it!  I haven't been able to celebrate Mother's Day with my family in a while so it was especially nice to have them all around me this year.  We started out the day with brunch at The Inn at Ole Miss and ended it with gifts and a photo shoot! :)  Happy Mother's Day to all of the sweet mommas out there!!

Graduation Weekend

SHE DID IT! Ahhhh, what a FUN weekend we had celebrating Syd's graduation last weekend! It zoomed by (well, except for the whole graduation ceremony part!) and it was wonderful to be able to spend more than a few hours with my family.  Friday night was laid back with a fun dinner at Taylor Grocery and listening to the Rebs beat the Bulldogs in the first game of the Ole Miss/Georgia baseball series.   Saturday, it was up-and-at-'em for Sis's graduation in the Manning Center.  After lots of hugging, congratulating and picture-taking, we took a break by the pool (and from opening mounds of grad gifts!) before heading to dinner at Lenora's.  Sunday was Mother's Day and we capped off the weekend with a delicious brunch at The Inn.  If you haven't been to The Inn for Sunday brunch...GO.  It was super easy to get reservations, the food was great and the atmosphere was very casual.  We loved it and will definitely be going back again.  Congratulations, Sis! We are proud of you and we're super excited that you'll be staying in Oxford for grad school this fall!!

The Graduate

This weekend is going to be weird...but in a good way.  Weird because my little sister (the one who was SIX when I went off to college) is GRADUATING from college herself.  I mean, what?!?!  Somewhere along the way, I got old and she grew up.  I seriously could not be more proud of her and the person that she has become.  She is the absolute best and it definitely doesn't get any better than her.  Her past four years at Ole Miss went by in a flash.  Happy Graduation weekend, Sis! We love you, we're SO proud of you and we can't wait to see what the future holds for you!! CONGRATS!
