Happy 30th Birthday Reed!!

Happy 30th Birthday Reedy!! My sweet, adorable husband turned 30 last Saturday and to celebrate, we had dinner at CCJ with LOTS of fun friends and another birthday boy, Gray Goodman. Gray's 30th birthday was Friday night so with the boys only being one day apart, Tatum & I decided to have a joint birthday dinner for them. It was wonderful! We had dinner and drinks on the patio at the country club AND had the cutest cakes for dessert! Happy Birthday boys!!

Orange Beach 2011

Ahhh, the beach!! Last week, Reed and I took our last Orange Beach vacation as a twosome since Stafford will be with us next year! We had such a great time and I honestly thought about staying down there forever! My sister and her friend, Adee, came along also and we did absolutely nothing but sunned, swam, ate and shopped! Reed was a little bit more active - he trained while we were down there since his Ironman is in 3 months! I was able to buy Stafford some cute things at the outlet mall that I can hardly wait to put him in! Gymboree and The Children's Place were having great sales and I just couldn't resist. We played putt-putt one night at Adventure Island and for the first time in YEARS, I got a hole in one!! I was so excited, you would've thought I had won the lottery...ha! And, Reed and Syd got one too! Below are a few pictures from our week:

25 Weeks!!

I had my 25 week doctor's appointment today and everything is moving right along! My tummy is measuring 26 centimeters and Stafford's heart rate was 151...all of which she said is right on track. Exciting news: I PASSED my glucose test!! YAY! I was really worried about failing it because I literally eat and drink sweets all day long...I can't help it, I crave sugar these days like something crazy! But, I passed...whew! I did learn that I'm anemic so I have to start taking iron supplements with my prenatal vitamin which is no biggie. Tummy pic below:

Back-to-Back Fun

Reed and I have had back-to-back weekends FULL of fun stuff going on! First, Reed competed (for the 2nd time) in the Heatwave Classic Triathlon, here in Ridgeland. This event consists of a 1/2 mile swim in the Reservoir, a 24.5 mile bike ride along the Natchez Trace and a 10K run. The race started around 7:15 am and it was already HOT HOT HOT!! Reed did great...he finished 7th in his age group (30-34) and 29th overall (out of 5oo competitors)!!! WOW!

Second, last weekend was Katy Hedglin's baby shower! We had such a great time celebrating little Hattie's upcoming entrance into the world. Katy (and Hattie) received some of the CUTEST things...little girl stuff is too adorable! It was a great time with great food and great friends. See below for pictures from these fun weekends:

Big Boy Shirt

Ok, so HOW CUTE IS THIS?!!! Sweet Aunt Sydnee decided that Stafford needed at least one "big boy shirt" in his closet so she sent him this...cutest thing I've EVER seen!! Needless to say, this little boy has no choice but to be an Ole Miss fan! Thank you Aunt Sydnee!!

A Work In Progress

Hey Everyone! It's time for a few "before" nursery photos!! We are slowly but surely coming along on Stafford's nursery. We've pretty much gotten the big stuff in and/or ordered so now we are waiting for it all to come together. His bedding and drapes are in the process of being made so once those are done, it'll look more like a room fit for a baby! I've found my glider and ottoman BUT have yet to decide on the fabric and once I get that accomplished - we can order it! We decided to keep the paint color very neutral so it was nice NOT to have to repaint anything. I'm still on the lookout for a small bookshelf (he already has TONS of books!) and paintings for the walls. See below for a few before pictures:

changing table and lamp (there's another lamp on the opposite end)...as you can see, ace is already guarding the door!!

his crib is up and ready to be dressed!!

Patycake Kids

Last Saturday, I attended the clothing launch party of Patycake Kids here in Jackson. Patycake Kids is a clothing line created and designed by my sweet friend and fellow Ole Miss girl, Shannon York Blanks. Shannon has designed some of the cutest, smocked clothing that I have ever seen and her prices are incredible!! Check out her link below AND if you're interested in hosting a home show (and getting free clothing for doing so!) please sign up or send her an email through the website! You don't have to live in the Jackson area to host a show either...she can ship you the samples wherever you are!! Stafford is going to be rocking LOTS of these precious outfits!!

Oh, and fun fact: 2 of the models are my nieces!! Aren't those the cutest kids ever?!!
