Catch-Up

I've been horrible at posting.  Horrible.  I guess most of that is due to The Stacy Family not really doing a whole lot these past three months.  You can totally call us boring...because we are!  We've made a few visits to the park, took a quick trip to Oxford and celebrated a cousin's wedding.  I am ready to say goodbye to the boring winter months and say hello to Spring!

Those Friends

You know those friends.  The ones that you've had your entire life.  The hometown ones.  The ones you grew up with.  The ones that know your story.  The ones that can tell you everything about yourself.  The ones that will tell you when you look (or act) (or sound) ridiculous.  The ones that you can act ridiculous with.  Those ones.  I have those friends.  And, I adore them.  I love them to death. I wouldn't be me without them. And, sometimes, when I'm not with them, I don't feel like I am me.  Make sense?  Sadly, some of  "those" weren't in D-burg for Christmas this year or they left town early.  PS, those: Y'all gotta quit doing that!!!  :)

Thank you, Lord, for "those friends."  I'm pretty sure y'all are what make the world go round.

Merry Merry Merry Merry Christmas

Merry Merry Christmas!! The Stacy crew (minus Ace) spent Christmas in Dyersburg this year...and it was pure Heaven.  Have I mentioned how much I love being in D-burg at my parent's house?!?!  Seriously, when I get there, I never want to leave!  Merry Christmas!

About Those Rebs...

I'm going to go ahead and admit it. I LOVE winning. Especially when it comes to Ole Miss football.  And, doubly especially (does that even make sense?!) when it comes to the Egg Bowl. L-O-V-E it.

With the Egg Bowl being in Oxford this year, I had no doubt that the Rebs would win. Not even one tiny, little pea-sized doubt. None. Zero. Zilch. This game was OURS.  And, I say OURS (just to clarify for my sweet husband) not because I'm on the team (obvi, I'm not) and not because I know anyone on the team ('cuz I definitely do not) but because it was OURS.  I'm invested or "All In" as CHF would say.  If you're a Rebel fan and you aren't "All In," then I personally think there is something wrong with you...and I say that in the sweetest way possible! Really, I do. :)  I digress but obviously...WE won! It was a great game.  Glorious. Electric. And, oh so FUN!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

GBO (or No!!!)

AHHH, football time in Mississippi is so much fun...especially if you're a Tennesee girl, who went to Ole Miss and your team (Go Rebs!!) is playing the Vols in Oxford.  Ole Miss/TN only rolls around every so often but it sure is fun when it does!  The last time this happened, I made the L-O-N-G drive to Knoxville (with pit stops in Memphis and Nashville to pick up my girls!) to suffer a devastating loss.  But revenge is sweet.  The Rebs dominated the Vols and chalked up another one in the win column.  I do love this series, especially when it's in Oxford, because I get to see so many of my Dyersburg friends.  It's nice to have my worlds collide (in the Grove, no less) for a day.  Hotty Toddy!!

Pumpkin Patch

A tiny bit behind in the blogosphere.  Back in October, Stafford made his first visit to the pumpkin patch.  We went to the Nichols-Boyd patch in Rankin County.  It was SUPER cute and a precious place to go.  I highly recommend you hit this place up in the fall.  Obviously, from the pictures, it was a little warm (i.e. HOT) the day we went but Stafford had a great time!  We took a hayride through the farm, saw all kinds of animals and picked out our pumpkins.  Happy Fall Y'all!
