So, as I mentioned in my last post, Reed competed in the Heart O'Dixie triathlon in Neshoba County this past weeked. And, I know that it's super annoying to brag and have someone tell you how great their husband is and what an amazing job he did BUT I'm doing it anyway...Reed absolutely kicked butt!! After intense training all week long (for Ironman Louisville) he got up on Saturday and killed it out on the course. Well, I think he killed it anyway!! He was pleased with the results even though he said this year's time was slower than his time last year. Race rundown: 0.5 mile swim, 27.5 mile bike and 7 mile run. Reed's final time was 2 hours 18 minutes 44 seconds. He ended up finishing 3rd in his age group (30-34) and 22nd overall (out of 400+ competitors). WOW!! Needless to say, I am super proud of my hubby...he has improved so much since he started competing in triathlons AND he's only going to get better. Congratulations Reed!! I love you! 30 Weeks & the NCF
Hi All!! I cannot believe that I'm actually typing this little fact but I'm typing it...I am officially 30 weeks!! Something about that number just sounds crazy-scary but I will say - it feels a little nice to be out of the 20's. With that being said, I (and Stafford) will be braving the hot Mississippi summer temperature this weekend at the Neshoba County Fair! Reed is competing in the Heart O'Dixie triathlon and I am headed over to watch him. He has been training hard (really more for his Ironman in August) and I know he will do great! I feel like I'm always hot these days...even in our 68 degree house...so it will be interesting picking out something to wear tomorrow morning. I really wish I could wear my tennis shoes and a bikini but we all know that would NOT be a pretty sight and I would never go there...HA! Stay tuned for pictures from the race...GO Reedy GO!!!

Gliding Away...
A few weekends ago, I ordered my glider for the nursery from Play Pen here in Jackson. They have a great selection of nursery furniture and they carry Best chairs...my favorite!! There were so many styles to choose from that I had a hard time deciding on which one I wanted...BUT, I finally chose "The April" style. I loved it for so many reasons, one being that I don't think it looks like a glider and hopefully I will be able to use this chair anywhere in our home! Below is a picture of "The April"...minus the fabric that I picked out for it. I decided to do a very neutral, non-printed fabric that will go with everything. I cannot wait for it to come in and more importantly, to be rocking my sweet baby in it soon!!

Almost there...
I am so excited to post this picture below!! Stafford's crib bedding is finished and I absolutely love it! You may remember from previous posts that I decided to have it made because I could not find anything that I liked that was less than $850. I really didn't want to spend that much on bedding so I shopped around, found all of my fabrics and had it made by a woman here in town. She did a FANTASTIC job and I'm totally in love with it! We don't have sheets for the mattress yet, so please ignore that stark white mattress...hopefully we will be getting the those soon and Stafford's little bed will be all ready for him to sleep in it!!
All in all, the nursery is coming a long quite well...over the weekend my drapes were finished (I'll be picking those up when I go to Dyersburg in a few weeks) and I found a great picture frame at Sweet Dreams. My glider should be here in 2-4 weeks and I"m working on finding a bookshelf...Stafford has LOTS of books already!!

28 Weeks aka 7 Months!!
Yippee! I've been waiting to get to the 28 week mark and I've made it! I've heard that 28 weeks is a huge milestone to get to because in the event that the baby came early, they now have a 90% chance of survival (with medical help of course). This information makes me breathe a little easier these days! Anyhow, I went today for another doctor's appointment and a sonogram. It had been about 7-8 weeks since we've seen our little guy so we were excited for the sonogram!!
Stafford now weighs 2.8 pounds, is 14.5 inches long and had a heartbeat in the 150s! The tech measured his head, abdomen and femur (he has LONG legs); checked out his heart, kidneys, bladder, stomach and brain; and, she moved my due date back to October 4th. She did say, though, that the new date would give or take 10 days. She also said that he probably wouldn't be a big baby but average sized(GOOD NEWS since Reed weighed over 9 pounds!). My stomach is measuring 28 weeks so I'm right on target with that too! I start going to the doctor every two weeks now...which is kind of exciting because that means he'll be here so soon...12 weeks to be exact!
I'm going, today, to pick up his crib bedding...I got the call yesterday that it's ready so stay tuned for pictures of his crib "all done up!"

Weekend Celebrations
So, as my last post reported...I turned 30 over the holiday weekend!! YIKES! Actually, it wasn't all that bad making the leap from my 20's. We celebrated all weekend long and that always makes a birthday fun, no matter how old you are! On Friday night, my precious friend, Sarah, organized a mexican birthday dinner with a big group of our friends and their kids. We had 25 adults and 5 kids so needless to say, we TOOK OVER Margaritas Mexican Grill. They even had a birthday cake for me and it was delicious!! On Saturday, Reed and I attend the wedding of our good friends, Brittany & Joshua Bryant. I love weddings and this one was no exception...beautiful couple, fun reception and delicious food! On Sunday, Reed and I celebrated with dinner at my in-laws...WONDERFUL! And...on Monday, I turned 30! We spent a couple of hours out by the pool and then headed to the CCJ for their 4th of July dinner and fireworks show. All-in-all, it was a great weekend and thank you all so much for the sweet birthday messages...you truly made my day super special!!
