AHHH, football time in Mississippi is so much fun...especially if you're a Tennesee girl, who went to Ole Miss and your team (Go Rebs!!) is playing the Vols in Oxford. Ole Miss/TN only rolls around every so often but it sure is fun when it does! The last time this happened, I made the L-O-N-G drive to Knoxville (with pit stops in Memphis and Nashville to pick up my girls!) to suffer a devastating loss. But revenge is sweet. The Rebs dominated the Vols and chalked up another one in the win column. I do love this series, especially when it's in Oxford, because I get to see so many of my Dyersburg friends. It's nice to have my worlds collide (in the Grove, no less) for a day. Hotty Toddy!!

Pumpkin Patch
A tiny bit behind in the blogosphere. Back in October, Stafford made his first visit to the pumpkin patch. We went to the Nichols-Boyd patch in Rankin County. It was SUPER cute and a precious place to go. I highly recommend you hit this place up in the fall. Obviously, from the pictures, it was a little warm (i.e. HOT) the day we went but Stafford had a great time! We took a hayride through the farm, saw all kinds of animals and picked out our pumpkins. Happy Fall Y'all!

Gosh Almighty!!
Hee Hee!! I'm literally grinning ear to ear as I type this post. I've been a little behind on blogging our football weekends (I mean, we're only 5 games in!) but I literally haven't been this football happy EVER. Well, except for last year when we beat LSU...thank you Andrew Ritter!
So, you might have heard that ESPN College GameDay was in Oxford last week. And Katy Perry. And Woody Harrelson. And Tom Brokaw. And Liam Hemsworth. I mean...did LA uproot and move east for the weekend?! The Rebs won and won B-I-G. Pretty sure everyone is still celebrating but hey...who wouldn't be? Oh yeah, and the Rebels are 5 - 0. Hotty Toddy, Gosh Almighty!!

And Then He Was THREE
We have a THREE year old. Does that sound old or does that sound old?! Our little love turned three on September 21st and we celebrated by doing a family-only, sweets-only party at our house. It was fabulous and SO EASY!! Let me just say, though, I think I have finally run out of the years of doing family-only parties BUT they sure were great while they lasted! Stafford is OBSESSED with construction equipment or "tractors" and "diggers" as he calls them. Naturally, my theme was construction. He made that really easy on his Momma this year!
I had Two Krazy Kake Ladies (from Dyersburg) make his cake and I used The Cookie Lady (from Caruthersville, MO) to make the cookies. Big shout out to Honey & Papa for carting those things down to Mississippi for me! Naturally, I used the always fabulous Ruff Draft Papers for his invitation. And all of those "tractors" that you see...yeah, those are ALL ours. We literally have them coming out of our ears. If there's ever a need for a toddler CAT spokesman, Stafford is it. Seriously, this kid needs a contract. He can sell you one in a heartbeat.
Happy 3rd Birthday, sweet boy!! We are SO HAPPY that you're ours!

It's Here!!
It's here and I couldn't be happier. Finally. We finally get to spend our Saturdays in Oxford, in the Grove and in the Vaught. HOORAY!! Last weekend was our first home game of the year and naturally, my crew headed up to Oxford on Friday evening. We were super excited to get there! Stafford has been saying (on repeat, mind you) "Ole Miss ballgame Ole Miss" for about 3 months now. Literally, he says it all. day. long. It is pretty cute if I do say so myself! The kid LOVES Ole Miss. My work as a mother is now done. :)
Usually, September in Mississippi is unbearably hot BUT fall weather moved right on in for us last Saturday. It was extra nice to not be a sweaty mess by kickoff! We spent lots of QT at the Dyersburg tent and our tent. Stafford absolutely loved running around in the Grove, playing football and getting dirty. This age is so much fun PLUS that little jersey with his name on the back...I die. Cutest thing ever. Cheers and a great big, Hotty Toddy for football season AND for the Rebs being 3-0!! Watch out Memphis...we're coming for ya!

MS-TN-MO
I absolutely LOVE a good weekend in Dyersburg. LOVE IT. A few weekends ago, our crew made the 4 hour drive to Tennessee to celebrate my dad's birthday over the long Labor Day weekend. He knew we were coming up, of course, but he DIDN'T know that we were taking him to St. Louis for a day to watch the Cards play a little baseball versus the Cubs! I hadn't been to the STL in years (probably not since college) so I was doubly excited! I love St. Louis, Busch Stadium, the Cards, the Arch, everything. Growing up, St. Louis was a frequent destination for my family because it's an easy drive and there is so much to do. Unfortunately, we could only make a day trip out of it this year but it certainly didn't dull the fun. We had great seats (aka in the shade) and the Cards won! Happy Birthday Dad!

Girl's Weekend in the Delta
Who doesn't love a good girl's weekend?!?! A few weekends back, my mom, my sis and I met up at The Alluvian in Greenwood for a fun mother/daughter girl's weekend. We had SO MUCH FUN! Lunch at Delta Bistro and Crystal Grill, dinner at Gardinia's and a wine tasting at Williams Landing was wedged in among all of the shopping, sipping, sightseeing (hello, The Help!) and catching up. We definitely have plans to do this again!!
