March Madness Has Begun

Ahh, MARCH! Did anyone else feel like February was going to last forever?!  March (even though it is still cold) always makes me happy...it means Spring Break (well, memories of, anyway!), March Madness (I love this basketball tourny), Easter and the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Jackson.  So many fun events this month and hopefully the introduction of warm, sunny weather.  The Stacy fam even has another "first" this month:  a trip to the circus!! We sprung for the "VIP" tickets (they have those?!) for the circus coming up next week and I am hoping that Stafford will be close enough and old enough to pay attention.  We shall see!! We've had an unusal month so far in that we have been home every single weekend...it's been nice! Although, I do have one little boy that is missing his Honey, Papa, Sis, Uncle Ronnie and Memama...same for his mama, too!

February Happenings

Normally time flies especially with February being such a short month BUT I feel like February has gone on forever!  I think most of that is attributed to the fact that we have had consistently dreary weather...rainy, cold, windy, stormy, YUCK!  I don't think I've ever been more ready for summer in my entire life!  One plus to this long, never-ending month is all of the FUN we've been having!  This past weekend, the whole fam headed to Oxford for a little Rebel basketball, Rebel baseball, shopping on the Square and of course, eating! Although we didn't attend the baseball games, I did keep up with them on Twitter...thanks Tweeters! We did hit up the Tad Pad for the Ole Miss vs. Auburn game on Saturday afternoon and it was a blowout! The Rebs won by 33 points and Stafford absolutely loved the lights and the music. Afterwards, we headed to the Square for dinner at Soulshine and got home in the perfect amount of time to keep Stafford (somewhat) on his routine.  Thanks Mom and Dad for the fun weekend...let's do it again soon!

JXN-OX-MEM...re-route

We had such a fun weekend that typing this post makes me sad it's already over!  Why do weekends go by so fast?  I still haven't figured that out!  Friday, we headed north to Oxford to spend some quality time with Sis.  On Saturday, we all headed north (again!) to Memphis to meet up with Honey and Papa to do a little shopping.  We also stopped in and had dinner at the Rendezvous (love that place) and walked over to The Peabody to see the ducks.  Unfortunately, the ducks were already "in bed" but Stafford had a great time walking around the fountain regardless!  Sunday brought nasty weather so as the rest of the Stafford crew headed off to see Mary Poppins, my Stafford and I headed back south to Jackson.  Great weekend...let's do it again soon!!

Signing Day

Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you know that today is SIGNING DAY and that Ole Miss RACKED UP!  I mean, seriously racked up.  When LeBron James tweets about the Rebs, you know it's big time news!!  Rebel fans have been anxiously awaiting this day for a long time and what fun it was!  I woke up extra early to watch Robert Nkemdiche voice his choice and it only got better from 6:30 am on...whew, what a day!  The Rebs have the #5 signing class in the nation (NATION!!) and I couldn't be more excited for football season to begin. What a great day to be an Ole Miss Rebel...Hotty Toddy!!

January Happenings

January has flown by and I don't have too much to report...nothing new anyway!!  A few weekends ago, we went to Dyersburg to celebrate my mom's birthday and to attend the DHS vs DCHS Second Annual Alumni Basketball Game.  The Choctaws (our rivals...booo!!) won both the girls and boys games but the REAL winners were the three families that the event supported.  It was an amazing night and the last I heard, they raised almost $20,000...WOW!! Such a fun event to support those in need.  I hope this event is continued for years and years to come.

With January comes February, which means Mardi Gras down here so we let Stafford sample (actually inhale) is first piece of King Cake.  Needless to say, he was a fan!  Mother Nature just knew how much I loved getting snow so she blessed us with it again a few weeks ago...this time in Mississippi!  It was so much fun waking up to a winter wonderland even though it was all melted by noon! Oh well...beggars can't be choosers, right?!

Recapping Christmas

Christmas was fantastic and it went by WAAAYYY too quickly! Being "home" was awesome and I probably could've stayed two more weeks but we had a wonderful visit and Santa knew just where to find us! Reed was able to get in such much needed rest (still recovering from back surgery!!), Stafford got in lots of quality Honey and Papa time and I was able to visit with old friends from high school whom I haven't seen in about a year!! Santa spoiled us rotten and so did Mother Nature...it SNOWED!!!  See below for pictures:
