Caroline Reed is 2!!

Last Thursday, our precious niece, Caroline Reed, turned 2! She is growing up so fast and is truly the sweetest little thing ever! Below are a few pictures from her birthday dinner:

Halfway There!

Well, today marks my halfway point...I'm 20 weeks with only 20 more to go!! During this second trimester, I have felt great!! I'm slowly getting a little bit of a baby bump and I finally feel like I look like I'm pregnant versus looking like I'm in love with beer...ha! We have made great progress on the nursery...crib is up, fabric for the bedding has been ordered, changing table/dresser is in and he has a few clothes hanging in his closet. All in all, I feel like I'm in a good place with all of the "stuff." These past 20 weeks have flown by...even though it was way back in January, it seems like just yesterday that I told Reed that we were having a baby! I cannot wait to meet this little man...in 20 more weeks!

It's Here!!!

Yay! I am so excited that Baby Stacy's crib is finally here! I feel like I ordered it ages ago (I did, actually...in February) and I am super excited that it came in a few weeks early! Since I wasn't sure what we were having back in February, I decided to go with a good ole' gender-neutral ivory and I'm thrilled that I did. It is absolutely gorgeous! I ordered it from Bratt Decor (www.brattdecor.com) and I'm totally obsessed with it and them in general. We took it out of the box last night and have it ready to go for our "put-together party" tonight. We aren't really having a party for this but I say that because right now, it's me & Reed doing the assembly but it may turn into a "party" when we call (in a panic) Matt and Helen to come help us do this!! Surprise!!

Last Wednesday, a group of us got together and surprised Sarah for her 30th birthday. Sarah is always one that figures stuff out pretty quickly but she honestly had NO IDEA about this! Sy orchestrated a "work email" and had it sent to her detailing his company's family night out...she fell for it and instead of company folks, she got us!! We had such a fun night at Pan Asia celebrating Sarah's big 3-0!! Surprise bestie! Love you!

Three Perfect Years

Happy Anniversary to us!! Today, Reed and I are celebrating 3 wonderful years of marriage! I cannot believe how quickly these past 3 years have gone. It honestly feels like yesterday that I was planning our wedding...I suppose it's true that time flies when you're having fun!! Instead of getting each other a gift, we've decided to take a fun, long weekend-type trip each year and this year we are going to San Diego, CA! Neither one of us has ever been so we are looking forward to going someplace new together. This will be our last anniversary as a twosome...little Mr. Stacy will be with us next year!! Double Decker

Last weekend, Reed, Ace and I spent the weekend in Oxford for the Double Decker Arts Festival. Double Decker has ALWAYS been one of my favorite weekends in Oxford so I was really looking forward to getting up there after work on Friday. We didn't get in until kinda late so we cooked out with my parents and just chatted about this precious little boy on the way! Saturday, we headed up to the Square for lunch at Boure and a little shopping. I found the cutest things for our sweet baby at Belles and Beaus (right across Van Buren Avenue from The Lyric)! I probably went a little overboard but it's just so much fun shopping now that we know what we are having. Later that night, we helped host an engagement party on The Square for our good friends, Brittany & Joshua, who are getting married in July. It was a perfect night for BBQ, beer (Sprite for me) and balcony sitting. Our weekend flew by but we had the best time...I'm already looking forward to next year!!

And Baby Stacy Is...

a BOY!!! OH MY WORD!! Reed and I are going to have a SON!! It is really and truly so surreal to me. We went to the doctor this morning and had the sonogram first thing. First, she checked the chambers of the heart, the brain, the kidneys, etc. and said that everything looked great. The tech had a bit of a time getting a picture of this little man because he just wouldn't cooperate. She FINALLY got him to move his hands (HA) and gave us the good news! We are over the moon and thrilled to be having a son. I just "knew" we were having a girl and Reed just "knew" we were having a boy...I guess I'll give up on guessing the gender because I've been wrong a lot here lately! She said he had huge feet, long legs and was weighing about 7 ounces...still so tiny!! Looks like we have lots of sporting events, grass-stained jeans and triathlons (Reed is probably hoping!) in our future! Yay for Baby BOY Stacy!!!
