Back-to-Back

Well, back-to-back weekends in Oxford for the Stacy's = back-to-back WINS for the REBELS! Although it got a little close there at the end, the Rebs pulled out another victory in Vaught-Hemingway. Ole Miss vs. Kentucky weekend was a blast for us...I was able to spend LOTS of quality time with Caroline (one of my besties that currently lives in Atlanta), we had a delicious dinner at Boure on Friday night (after waiting 2+ hours), visited with friends and hung out ALL DAY in the Grove on Saturday! The weather was absolutely perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend! Below are some pics...

Sweet Victory

I don't know if there is anything sweeter than an Ole Miss win in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium!! Last weekend, Reed & I traveled to Oxford for the Ole Miss vs. Fresno State game. This was Reed's first home game of the year to attend so he just might be a good luck charm for the Rebs!! We had a great time visiting with friends and family but it was even more fun to watch my adorable sister run across the field before kickoff!! Much to her embarrassment, she had to participate in the Rebel Run in which all members of the Ole Miss Class of 2014 had run the LONG 100 yards from the visitors section to the student section...see Syd, I told you that you wouldn't fall down!! Hotty Toddy!

70.3

Last weekend, Reed and I made the 16 hour journey (roundtrip) to Branson, Missouri for his second half-ironman. We stayed at the host resort, Chateau on the Lake, which was absolutely gorgeous and we had an awesome view of the Ozark Mountains and Table Rock Lake! The race began at 7:30 am on Sunday for the 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run. The competition was stiff and the terrain was ridiculously hard (think biking through the Ozarks for 56 miles...yikes!) but Reed did GREAT! I'm continously amazed with him and all of his hard work that he puts into training for these events. This was Reed's last half-ironman of the year but he will continue to train since he's competing in a FULL Ironman next year!! Below are some pictures from the race...

Hotty Toddy!!!

It's football time in Mississippi!! I think I've been waiting since last November for this time of year to roll around and now that it's finally here, I couldn't be more excited!! Over the Labor Day weekend, I made the short drive to Oxford to celebrate a Rebel victory (we lost), Sydnee's first football game as an official Ole Miss girl (she looked fabuloso) and to spend some time with my family (always fun). Even though the Rebs disappointed me this time, fun was had by all AND my sister showed me that it's not quite as easy as it used to be!!

Baby Edie

A few weeks ago, I traveled to Dyersburg for Whitney's baby shower! Whitney is due November 12th with a sweet baby girl...Edie McCollum Allmon. We had the best time celebrating Edie's upcoming arrival!! Everything was absolutely perfect and Edie got some precious things! It was wonderful to see everyone and the weekend went by much too fast! We can't wait to meet you, Edie, and we love you already!!!

What the...Chuck?!

Ok...so EVERYONE has a celebrity crush (or if you're like me, multiple celeb crushes), right?! Well, two weeks ago, Reed and I were driving to Oxford, listening to 96.3 on the radio - a country station (naturally) when the DJ announced that country singer Chuck Wicks (also of Dancing with the Stars fame) was going to be IN RIDGELAND, playing an acoustic set at Phillip's on the Reservoir. The ONLY way to see him was by winning tickets either by listening & calling in OR by stalking their facebook page & calling in. I immediately told Reed that I was going to win those tickets (he said I had no shot) because i LOVE...and i mean LOVE Chuck Wicks. Well, after 2 days of trying...I won tickets!! I convinced my friend, Morgan, to go with me and we had the best time!! I was way nervous to meet him but he was super nice and very cool. He even hung out with everyone there (that had also won tickets) both before and after his set. Needless to say, I feel very complete now that I've met one of my celebrity crushes...now, if only Joshua Jackson, Robert Pattinson and Ian Somerholder would come to 39157....

Move-In Day!!!

OMG!! Ok, so as I am typing this post, my baby sister, Sydnee, is moving into her college dorm room at Ole Miss!! Syd is officially a college student/Ole Miss girl/Mississippi resident!!! This makes me feel especially old because she was only 6 (and entering into the first grade) when I was moving into MY dorm room at Ole Miss. YIKES!! Where does the time go?! Sydnee is an strong, amazing and smart young woman and we are so proud of her and the lady that she has become. I cannot wait to go visit her every weekend...HA! Love you sis!!
