Married 2 Years!

Reed & I (or rather I) have decided that every year for our anniversary we will take a fun long-weekend-ish trip to somewhere fun SO this year we landed in Chicago to celebrate our 2 years as Mr & Mrs! We really had such a great time seeing all of the sights! We had dinner on the 95th floor of the Hancock Tower, went to 2 Cubs games (and saw Vince Vaughn throw out the first pitch!), had the famous Chicago-style pizza, walked around Navy Pier, shopped on Michigan Avenue (that was only me!) and had a fantastic steak at Gibson's. The weekend was so perfect that I'm seriously ready to move there...maybe. Odds are slim-to-none on the chance that the Stacy's will ever move to Chicago but it has definitely made it to my favorite cities list!! Below are various pics from our weekend...

My Ironman Husband

On April 18th, Reed competed in his first half ironman in New Orleans. A half ironman consists of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile run. The swim was in Lake Pontchartrain (eww!) and the bike/run courses were around downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter. Reed crossed the finish line in Jackson Square in 5 hours & 14 minutes...needless to say, he did AMAZING and I'm so very proud of him for all of his hard work! It was such a treat to cheer him on and see a few of the professional athletes too!!
reed & me after the race...i wouldn't EVEN be close to standing up after going 70.3 miles...he did so great am i very proud of my ironman husband!!
